The Edmonton Cantando Festival is now celebrating its 3rd decade in the Winspear Centre for Music. We have some great things planned and know your students will leave the festival inspired and motivated to continue improving their musical skills.
Updates regarding all aspects of the festival will be added on an ongoing basis.

Registering an Ensemble
In order to register an ensemble, please create a Director’s Account.

What is the Cantando Performance and Workshop Schedule?
Sunday, April 11, 2027 – Wednesday, April 14, 2027
- Concert Band performances: Sunday, April 11 to Tuesday, April 13
- Concert Band workshops: Monday, April 12 to Wednesday, April 14
- Directors: plan for a minimum of 2 days
- Performances are in the Winspear Centre for Music on Day 1
- Workshops are in the Old Strathcona Performing Arts Centre on Day 2
- Directors: plan for a minimum of 2 days
- Jazz Band: Monday, April 12 – Wednesday, April 14
- Performances are at the Yardbird Suite. Workshops immediately follow the performances.
- Both the performance and the workshop take place in the 50 minute slot.
- There is no formal warmup space in the jazz venue. Directors may have their ensemble blow air through their instruments until their performance time and take a few minutes to warm up on stage.

- Choir: Monday, April 12 – Wednesday, April 14
- Choir performances and workshops are on the same day in McDougall United Church.
- Performances are in the morning.
- Workshops are in the afternoon.
