Edmonton Cantando Festival

The Edmonton Cantando Festival is now celebrating its 3rd decade in the Winspear Centre for Music. We have some great things planned and know your students will leave the festival inspired and motivated to continue improving their musical skills.

Updates regarding all aspects of the festival will be added on an ongoing basis.

Registering an Ensemble

In order to register an ensemble, please create a Director’s Account.

• Once you have an account, you can access the Director Dashboard. On the Director Dashboard, you can access:
  • Ensemble Registrations
  • Festival Schedules
  • Invoices
  • Your own warmup, performance, and workshop schedule.

What is the Cantando Performance and Workshop Schedule?

Sunday, April 12, 2026 – Wednesday, April 15, 2026

• Concert Band performances: Sunday, April 12 to Tuesday, April 14
• Concert Band workshops: Monday, April 13 to Wednesday, April 15
  • Directors: require 2 days
    • Performances are in the Winspear Centre for Music on Day 1
    • Workshops are in the Old Strathcona Performing Arts Centre on Day 2
• Jazz Band: Monday, April 13 – Wednesday, April 15
  • Performances are at the Yardbird Suite. Workshops immediately follow the performances.
• Choir: Monday, April 13 – Wednesday, April 15
  • Choir performances and workshops are on the same day in McDougall United Church.
    • Performances are in the morning.
    • Workshops are in the afternoon.
• Vocal Jazz: Tuesday, April 14 – venue TBA
• Evening Concerts:
  • Winspear: Sunday, Monday and Tuesday
